Author’s Background: Author Abhishek S Malve stumbled onto his passion for writing while working as an automation engineer in the United States. His interest in storytelling encouraged him to explore his passion and focus on writing. Currently, he lives in Navi Mumbai with his family. He is also the co-founder of AMSQR Games, a game development firm, which he created with his wife, Apurva, where they develop fun and entertaining mobile games.

Neel Preet: Firstly, Big Congratulations on your book, “Mystiq Lynk” Well, can you please share your experience about making your work come into the form of book!
Abhishek S Malve: Firstly, I would like to thank you for conducting this interview. Now coming to my experience, I would say that it was exciting for the most part. I struggled a bit initially, as I had no idea how to write a novel. I had to learn a lot of things about writing to get started. Also, I was working full time back then, so had to figure out how to juggle it with writing. But once I began writing, I learnt how to manage time more efficiently. I used to write after office hours and over the weekends. And following this approach, I was able to finish my book.
Neel Preet: What inspired you to write this book? What was the impetus behind this work of yours?

Abhishek S Malve: I like consuming content a lot. Be it in any form- Movies, web series, books, or podcasts. I like stories. When I was first struck by the idea of Mystiq Lynk, I felt like this kind of story hasn’t been told before. And that feeling itself inspired me to write it and tell a new kind of story which is a hybrid of multiple genres.
Neel Preet: Your book title, ‘Mystiq Lynk’ is very catchy! So, can you please explain the reason for going with this book title to the readers?
Abhishek S Malve: (Laughs) I chose it precisely for the same reason you have mentioned- because it is catchy! Also, I thought that this title aligned well with the theme and tone of the book. That’s why I chose it.
Neel Preet: While writing the book what was your mind-set? What are some of the learnings that you gained from this work of yours?
Abhishek S Malve: Since this is my first novel, I had no idea about how to write it. So, I had to learn a lot about plotting, constructing a scene, dialogues, and even the basic thing like how to construct a sentence properly so that it conveys the desired message. After finishing the book, I would say that I have learned all these things and overall gained much more clarity than I had.
Neel Preet: A part from mystery thriller & suspense, in which other genre would you like to contribute?

Abhishek S Malve: Sci-Fi! For sure! I love science fiction and feel that there’s a lot more can be done in this genre. Sci-fi plays a crucial role in my book- Mystiq Lynk and would love to explore it more.
Neel Preet: Reading the storyline of this book, I am greatly impressed & I want you to explain us that which segment of readers are you targeting with the book of yours?
Abhishek S Malve: Thank you for the compliments. I have written this book in such a way that readers of all age groups like it. But it I think primarily, the young adult readers will find it more relatable and interesting.
Neel Preet: You were very straightforward with your writings in your book, which I really appreciate. So next, I want you to tell us about some of those writers, who had inspired you!
Abhishek S Malve: I’m greatly inspired by J.K.Rowling, Amish Tripathi, and the works of Stephen King.
Neel Preet: Is there any message that you would like to convey to your readers? Or any piece of advice, which you would like to give to the readers out there!
Abhishek S Malve: Yes, I would like to tell the readers that, respect your parents and dedicate some time of your day to the things you love.
Neel Preet: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.
Abhishek S Malve: Yes. Book 2 and Book 3 of the Mystiq trilogy are in the works.
