Reviewing this beautiful Poetry-Collection book, “Postcard From The Mountains: A Collection of Poetry and Prose” by Author-Poet Sharayu Bafna has been a very satisfying experience to me since I too started my writing journey as a poet just like our Author here. And now whenever I get a chance to review a Poetry Collection book, I not only enjoy reading these new and expressive poems, where the Poet conveys some unheard messages through their words, but also I get the opportunity to learn something new regarding the composition of poetry, each time!
About the Author: The Author, Sharayu Bafna is a Content Writer & a
Marketer, who is currently working in an MNC. She is a reader by the day and a writer by the night and she often bursts out laughing at the most inappropriate times. Mythology, mountains, and finding a purpose to every little thing is what keeps her sane. Words make her feel the most comfortable in the whole wide world of course, after desserts.
Book Title & Cover: The title along with the sub-title, “Postcard From The Mountains: A Collection of Poetry and Prose” for this poetry collection book is certainly an appropriate one, with reference to the collection of poems added to this book by the Author. In addition, it’s a very ‘Catchy Title’ and this is something which makes the book even more interesting, as the title itself compels you as a poetry lover to pick up this book for a read. In this case, the title is giving a very positive and beautiful vibe so you would feel the urge to go inside the chapters and try to understand the Author’s expression of words!

Also, I must mention that the title of this book is much “Justified” with regards to the poems in this book. Undoubtedly it’s very apt for this poetry collection book and the Author had been extremely wise to go for this title.
Now, coming to the Book Cover Design, the portrayal of “A Girl Sitting by the River and Staring at the Beautiful Mountains” in the book’s front cover is not just giving a very “Specular Impression” but also, creating a very optimistic and beautiful vibe just like the Book’s Title! The readers can interpret the book cover design in a thousand different ways as per their sense of interpretation, but the most common interpretation could be that the illustration on the book cover is showing the Author and telling her story as she too finds comfort in the mountains.
Theme/Concept: Poetry – There are a total of “4 Sections” into which this poetry and prose collection book is very carefully divided. The four sections in which the author has divided this book includes the theme of Summers; Monsoons; Winters & Spring! These four sections in the book serve the readers with the poems of the different themes, based as per their mentioning in those sections.
Most of the poems in these four sections are short and yet powerful; These poems will compel you to get lost in the thoughts which are portrayed by the poet. These poems give a complete imagery of the words and draws attention to feel emotions of all kinds, which are commonly experienced by a human being in their lifetime.
