Questionnaires:

Neel Preet: First of all, Big Congratulations on your latest published book, “Fitting into Life” Hasina! What responses are you getting from this book of yours? Please share your experience about this book.

Hasina Saiyeda: Till now, people liked it. I have got good responses as well.

Writing this book was itself a unique experience. And getting feedback from potential readers is another delightful experience. I am glad to share that readers liked the concept and they loved the narration.

Neel Preet: I’ve read your book and I genuinely feel that it’s an “Inspirational-Fictional Plot” so my next question to you is that what inspired you to write this book? What was the impetus behind this work of yours?

Hasina Saiyeda: I have seen few friends of mine going through few problems in their life where they are suffering from mainly unwanted anxiety. People label them as mental patients. This made me think about this topic. I don’t think everyone suffering from some trauma or anxiety is a mental patient. Maybe, that person has gone through a rough patch in his or her life. He or she needs support not critics. That’s what I wanted to express in this story.

Neel Preet: You have written about the fictional character Ritabhari, a 25 years old girl, who was suffering from mental illness and depression so, what made you choose this character to be the lead in your plot?

Hasina Saiyeda: Obviously, the main character of the plot needed to be a person suffering from mental illness. The plot was to bring hope in her life. Ritabhari’s condition was crucial and she needed support. Her friend did it for her.

Neel Preet: In the present era, we read about a lot of people battling with depression, some of them give up while some of them keep fighting hard. So, while writing this book what was your mind-set? Is it based on any particular experience of yours?

Hasina Saiyeda: I think we all have rights to fight back.

All of us, at some point of time feel depressed about something. All of us suffer failures. All of us have problems. But all of us can fight back. Sometimes, we do it alone. Sometimes, we need help. My mindset is clear- never lose hope.

Neel Preet: Reading the narrative, character and the plot of this book, I’m greatly impressed and I want you to explain us, your version of how this book is relevant in the present day scenario.

Hasina Saiyeda: Thank you so much for liking the book.

I think this book has a place in present day. Specially, the young generation gives up so easily. The suicide rate has also increased due to this. In this scenario, this book can bring some hope in their life. This book is written in a very positive way. I think it encourages the young generation to never lose hope and keep fighting.

Neel Preet: Hasina your writing seemed to be really impeccable and you were bold with your writings in your book, which I really appreciate. So next, I want you to tell us about some of those writers, who had inspired you and whom you follow!

Hasina Saiyeda: Thanks for your appreciation!

I basically don’t follow anyone. Every writer has their own way of presenting their work. Some are good and some are extra-ordinary. Whenever, I come across a book, I learn something or the other from that very book. Every book teaches us some lesson. So, I can’t name some particular writers.

Neel Preet: Is there any message which you would like to convey to your readers? Or any piece of advice, which you would like to give to the readers out there!

Hasina Saiyeda: Yes, the author always has a message for the readers.

The first thing that I want to say that never lose hope. Always be positive and keep fighting with a smile on your face. It will encourage you to live life. Happiness is our rights. So, don’t just ruin it because of some people who don’t deserve to be a part of your life at the first place.

And secondly, support authors by buying their books. Don’t ask for free copies. Buy books and keep reading!

Neel Preet: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.

Hasina Saiyeda: “Melodies of Life…few tales to tell” is my first book. It has six short stories written from perspectives of people of different age group.

By the end of 2019, I have a novel coming up. I don’t want to disclose about it now but soon!

Neel Preet: Thank you so much for answering all my questions. All the very best to you for future and your book too!

Hasina Saiyeda: Thanks to you too!
