Readers are really enjoying my book and more importantly, they are able to connect with the characters which is a great compliment for me. Not only in India but my book had also been sold internationally and readers are loving it there as well.

Criticspace Journals: What encourages you to become an Author?

Author: I think every human being in this world has a hidden author inside them. And I am sure, everyone has got one or more stories in their mind which they think is good enough to be loved by others. That was the case with me, I had a few good-inspiring stories in my mind which I thought should reach to a wider audience. So I picked up my pen and my journey as an author began.

Criticspace Journals: What are your favourite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.

Author: Writing about the life tragedies of the people coming from different background with an inspiring outcome is the thing which fascinates me the most. Every person has got different life problems and has a different way of dealing with it. But despite all the miseries and struggles, people do lead their life irrespective of it being good or bad. I believe each story has some inspiration, some life lesson to draw from, that is what excites me. Apart from tragedies, I also like suspense and would love to write a thriller story someday.

Criticspace Journals: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!

Author: The first-ever author whose writing really touched me, and inspired me as a writer is Ravinder Singh. I like the simplicity he brings in his writing at the same time keeping it relatable and engaging. The way he narrates romance in his books is impeccable. I also like the writings of Durjoy Datta, Nikita Singh. Recently I read “Life’s amazing secrets” a self-help book by the Gaur Gopal Das and it inspired me a lot as well.

Criticspace Journals: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.

Author: I have heard that a lot of authors find it difficult to choose a title for their book but to be frank that was not the case with me. I had the whole story in my mind and the best title which could do justice with my story was the title “Dream Job”. Hence, I finalised it before even writing my first chapter and the title stayed unchanged throughout the writing process.

Criticspace Journals: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.

Author: As a writer I would say, this book is my first achievement as it’s my debut novel. Although, my journey here doesn’t end; I will come up with more exciting stories in the future.

Criticspace Journals: What is your current goal in writing as a career? How do you see your future in writing?

Author: I have just released my first fiction and readers are loving it. Now, all I want is to continue my writing and serve my readers with more interesting content. I would also like to switch my genre of writing and try other genres as well; like horror, romance, sci-fi, thriller, biography etc.

Criticspace Journals: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.

Author: I am currently working on my second fiction and planning to get it published this year. After publishing my second novel, I would like to finish an unfinished story which I wrote during my college days. It’s a very interesting story, close to my heart which  I truly believe in. You can say, it’s a kind of my dream project.

Criticspace Journals: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?

Author: The boost I have seen in Indian writing in today’s time is overwhelming. In the age of digitalisation, a lot of good writers got the chance to write and deliver their work to a large audience all across the globe which was unthinkable a few years back. Writers from different age groups are coming forward, writing in various languages and showcasing their commendable talent. Earlier most of the novels we used to see in the market were love story based but in the new era of self-publishing, we see a lot of authors who are writing on social issues, success stories, memoirs, inspirational books etc., which is giving the audience multiple choices to read from.

Criticspace Journals: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?

Author: Finding a good publisher is a task in itself and giving the responsibility of your months of hard work on their hand is the risk you take. But I would say, I was lucky enough to find Evincepub Publishing; who readily accepted to launch my book under their banner and I believe I made a right decision. They adhered to my requirements and really worked hard to make my dream of publishing my book come true.

In one of his interviews by the famous comic book writer ‘Stan Lee’, said something great which got printed in my heart and I believe it implies to every field not only in writing. He said and  I quote, “If you have an idea that you genuinely think is good, don’t let some idiot talk you out of it.”
