Author Story Article Release

Hello author, on behalf of all the readers, we would like to discuss something about you and of course, your book as well.  This conversation will help reader to know more about you and your debut book. Please give answers in brief.

Most welcome to Criticspace Journals, Author. We heartily congratulate you for being a published author. It’s really a great achievement. First thing, we would like to know about your basic info as a person, daily life, career so far and anything you would like to share about you with your readers.

Your Answer: I am a thirteen-year-old teen, fresh from my tweens. I go to the Emerald Heights International School in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. I have some hobbies like playing badminton, and obviously reading tons of books (Not that I’ve measured them, though). I live with my Mom, Dad, and brother.

That’s really great; please tell us something about your journey of becoming an author. When you actually started writing and how was the circumstance? Did any person or situation influenced you to write your debut book or was it your childhood hobby of writing?

Your Answer: My journey of writing first started with a story titled ‘The Golden Mangoes’ when I was about eight. I showed the story to my family and it was appreciated. At that time I began to develop a heavy addiction of reading fiction novels. When I was ten, and my mom and dad were frustrated at the speed by which I read, they compelled me into writing my first book, with the words, “You have read enough books! Now write one,” very casually. I was serious and wrote my first book: The Wanderers, The Sound of the Lake.

Do you think someone could be a writer if they don’t feel emotions strongly? Be descriptive please so that our visitors know about you little more.

Your Answer: Writing is all about emotions. When you write about your characters, you should feel their emotions strongly, and you feel like you’re bonded to them, which in fact you are. Writing without emotions is like trying to write on a bare rock with your finger: You cannot make an indention, or an impression. Having a good story is important, sure, but writing it without emotions? That would make you feel like looking at another character, someone who you don’t know, and emotions would be gone.

How do you come up with the titles to your books?

Your Answer: I came up with titles to my books by giving those suitable, but somewhat misleading, titles. They are a good mixture: Suitable and confusing as to where the story is leading towards, and that in the end, ultimately, sparks interest.

What, in your opinion, are the most important elements of good writing?

Your Answer: The most important elements of writing, according to me, are three in number: 1) Emotions 2) Willpower 3) Imagination.

What comes first, the plot or characters? How do you develop your plot and characters?

Your Answer: Whenever you want to start writing a book, start with your characters. These characters, once formed, are set deeply in your mind, while a plot can be changed. Developing your character is important in a story. Characters can either spring up from our imagination or be inspired by someone. The plot begins with one good idea, and – of course – the first line of your book.

Are you on social media and can your readers interact with you?

Your Answer: Yes, I am on social media. I am on FaceBook, by the name of Sarthak Rathi, and my Instagram ID is @sarthwanderers

Please tell the reader something about your book. What is your message to those readers who have still not read the book. Why they should pick it up for reading?

Your Answer: My book is of the genre science-fiction, by the name of The Wanderers: The Sound of the Lake. The Wanderers is a series in which there will be five books. There are four main characters, who decide to embark on a cycling tour. On the way, when they stop at a house to rest, they play hide-and-seek in a maze, with the host woman’s two children, and the woman is kidnapped. They find themselves in a passageway, by luck, beneath the house which had been turned into a sewer. They follow the woman and find themselves bound to an adventure, in which they try to stop a psychopath from taking over the world.

My message to those who have not read the book is that if they have love for science fiction and fantasy mixed, they will enjoy my book. They can find it enthralling, making it a good reason to pick up the book.

And yes, the most important thing we would like to hear from you is what is your message to those new writers who have not yet started their journey of becoming an author? You have been their source of motivation, please convey your thoughts with them.

Your Answer: My message to those who have not yet started their journey of becoming an author is that they should perspire and persevere to begin that exciting journey of being an author. Believe me; writing books has been a thing of unfathomable joy for me. It can be for you, too. There is a lot of patience required, but you can only succeed in it by putting your energies into it. And most important: You should be enthusiastic to write it.
