Criticspace Journals: Welcome to Criticspace Journals, author. Congratulations on the release of your book. What responses are you getting from your readers? Please share your experience with this book.
Author: Life is hard and learning life lessons from the school of hard knocks is not everyone’s cup of tea. Inditing this book by sharing practical life lessons, so that my readers will be well prepared and eventually will not be knocked down by life hard punches is the sole purpose of this book. When people see clouds, I have seen them carrying umbrellas. Well, this book will serve as an umbrella in my reader’s life. Handwriting is always there on the wall, with my book I have tried to make that invisible handwriting visible and so far readers are enjoying this bounty and are giving positive feedback.
Criticspace Journals: What encourages you to become an Author?
Author: The ship that Theseus sailed back to Athens was rebuilt over time. As each plank decayed, it was replaced by another, until each plank in the ship was renewed. Though totally renewed, the ship was still the same. We might grow from childhood to adulthood, our soul still remains the same. Our voyage of life is short and doesn’t require any new planks to renew but we do need a higher calling to act as our North Star. I never intended to be an Author but to learn, to grow and then sharing my writing is my North Star which ultimately gives me true happiness and meaning to my life.
Criticspace Journals: What are your favorite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.
Author: Non Fiction – Self Help / Personal Growth is my favorite topic and in future too i will continue to work on this topic.
Criticspace Journals: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!
Author: There are many but to name a few : John C Maxwell, Robin Sharma, Ryan Holiday, Dan Heath and Zig Ziglar are the ones whom I admire and follow.
Criticspace Journals: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.
Author: Well, finding a title that defines the core of the book was challenging but then one day I came across the seventh and eighth verses of the seventh chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, where I found the title of the book – He That Seeketh- Findeth. To me it was God himself giving me the title of the book and thus came the title.
Criticspace Journals: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.
Author: I am a newbie and He That Seeketh – Findeth is my first book. However, I also write a blog called Deo Volente which is loved by my readers.
Criticspace Journals: What is your current goal in writing a career? How do you see your future in writing?
Author: If you jump from a ten story building, you can’t change your mind at the ninth storey. I am really not sure how my writing career will unfold but having started it and with my past experience I know I can make Lemonade from the most bitter of lemons. Moreover, writing and sharing is my calling which I have to do. A monkey does not exchange a portion of his banana for another’s nut and writing is my piece of banana.
Criticspace Journals: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.
Author: I do write a blog called “Deo Volente” and “He That Seeketh – Findeth” is my first book. Having completed this book, I have already started working on my future project too which will be again a Personal Growth book.
Criticspace Journals: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?
Author: 21st century also known as the age of information technology, where all the information is at your fingertips, I can see the modern way of writing is more rich and practical. Though the principles still remain the same but with technology in play, more and more authors have learned how to improvise themselves.
Criticspace Journals: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?
Author: “If you can’t stand the heat, then you should stay out of the Kitchen”, goes an old saying. Publishing your book and that too your first one is not easy but then thanks to Evincepub Publishing for giving me a platform and assisting me in every step of publishing. To all budding authors I must say that many times retreating with our tail between our legs seems to be the easiest option but then there is always a difference between a history maker and a history reader. If you have the guts to make a history then do what it takes to make your dream come true.
