Swapna Peri: Congratulations on your book Dhruv. How are you enjoying the success and appreciations?
Author: Thank you for all love and support I got from my friends and family When my book reached my friends, family and teachers I got very encouraging response I had no idea I would be appreciated that much but now I feel humbled that all have appreciated my efforts. This will motivates me to write more and more.
Swapna Peri: Journey through my dreams – is an interesting and colorful title. How did the idea of putting this to the book generate?
Author: I have lived in my wonderland at times. When I wrote stories too I felt that whatever I am writing is like awakening from the dreams. Each of my story were generated from my dreams that I see and that’s how I feel that to start with 1 and to reach to 15 stories is a journey. Thus I gave the name to be Journey Through my Dreams
Swapna Peri: The book has fifteen short stories that belong to different topics and themes. How did you decide the themes and the story setting?
Author: The stories and themes I chose came randomly in my mind. Once I chose themes discussed it with my parents and grandparents. They appreciated me in this journey and whenever I stuck they motivated to think and imagine. All stories came from my imaginations. Most of setting and themes are from my own thoughts.
Swapna Peri: When did it spur in your mind that you want to write? Did you attempt writing before bringing out this book?
Author: I like reading books I always dream about fiction world and my parents encourage me to write stories In the free time during lockdown I find it quite intresting and exciting to pen down my imagination thus my journey as author started and was ably supported by everyone. Yes I write short stories in school which is applauded by teachers and friends.
Swapna Peri: What kind of book do you usually read? Are there any books that inspired you write you book?
Author: I usually read science fiction, Wimpy kid, Sudha Murthy and Geronimo Stilton. When I decided to write book my thought process in entirety said that the book should be on Sci-fi and Fiction. Ideally one can say no book inspired me to write but habit of reading dwelled in me has made me author at the age of 11.
Swapna Peri: There are not many Indian stories and that too by young or children authors like you on Zombies. How did you friends react when they read the story about Zombies?
Author: My friends have been very appreciative. They read the books and now they say that book is masterpiece. My all friends have different Favorite stories. Some like Zombies and other like treasure hunt and others. However most of them acknowledged that Zombies is story that was written very well.
Swapna Peri: What kind of support did you get from your parents, family and friends when you told your decision to write a book?
Author: My parents, friends and family are very supportive. They are the pillars of my strength and I think this book couldn’t be complete without their support.
Swapna Peri: What books usually attract you? What is the best book you read in 2020?
Author: I am attracted by Geronimo Stilton and Wimpy Kid. I am big Fan of Sudha Murthy Books. I quite have collection of Wimpy Kid, Geronimo and Sudha Murthy. In 2020 I can say the book I read was my own Creation “Journey Through My Dreams”
Swapna Peri: What are you other pass-time activities apart from reading and writing?
Author: I like to solve the Rubik’s Cube and I have solved till 6 by 6 and also solved Megaminx. I also like to watch TV, Play cricket, play games, and See informative videos on YouTube. I also have YouTube channel where I have put my videos of activity I do. I also have my facebook page @dreamerdhruv and instagram id @starkid_dhruvd where I keep posting activities related to my book.
Swapna Peri: Did you plan anything on what you want to become in the future both professionally and intellectually?
Author: Not Really. I feel I am just 11 and at this age and time I want to enjoy success of my book. I don’t know what future holds for me but one thing I have realized that I have some interest in literature world.
Swapna Peri: Do you wish to write more? If yes, what could be the genre you want to attempt on?
Author: I am writing a second book and its genre is also Fiction. This time I am writing a fully fledged Novel. Once I Complete then only I will able to tell you that this is a series of Novel
Swapna Peri: If you are given three magical powers, what will you use them for?
Author: From Spiderman Movie I heard a dialogue “Great Power Comes with Great Responsibility”. If I would be given power I will use to make this world a happier and greener place to live. I believe in Mahaveer Swami and Mahatma Gandhi’s Philosophy of Ahinsa Parmo Dharma so a world full of peace .
Swapna Peri: Who is your favorite author and what do you like in their writing?
Author: My Favorite author is Sudha Murthy and Jeff Kinney. I like the way they narrate the story.I am inspired by the simplicity this writers bring on which is both relatable and humorous and I love to read special edition of Geromino Stilton .
Swapna Peri: Do you have any message to the youngsters that you always wanted to pass?
Author: I only want to pass One Message. Do Dream, Dream Big and always make efforts so that your dream becomes Reality. I have learnt that if you dream and make efforts in right manner your dreams do come true. When your dreams becomes reality is the time you realize the moment you strived was with the effort you took.
