Hello author, on behalf of all the readers, we would like to discuss something about you and of course, your book as well.  This conversation will help reader to know more about you and your debut book. Please give answers in brief.

Most welcome to Criticspace Journals, Author. We heartily congratulate you for being a published author. It’s really a great achievement. First thing, we would like to know about your basic info as a person, daily life, career so far and anything you would like to share about you with your readers.

Your Answer: Thank you Criticspace Journals.

I am a post graduate in Human Development from the Bangalore University. I was in Africa for ten years during my childhood. Currently, I am residing in Navi Mumbai. I am married and I  am having a daughter. I have written and published ten books and have received various awards for my work.

I am a determined, ambitious and affectionate person.

That’s really great; please tell us something about your journey of becoming an author. When you actually started writing and how was the circumstance? Did any person or situation influenced you to write your debut book or was it your childhood hobby of writing?

Your Answer: I started writing in my thirties. I started as a freelance writer. After gaining experience in writing I published my first book. I am a great fan of home remedies and I came out with my first book ”Homemade facials, masques and beauty tips” which is sold on the shelf of world’s largest bookstore ‘Barnes and Noble’.

Do you think someone could be a writer if they don’t feel emotions strongly? Be descriptive please so that our visitors know about you little more.

Your Answer: It is same like how actors pull from their reality and portray their characters. The writers express different emotions of their fictional characters. You don’t have to be a non-fiction writer if you don’t feel emotions. It can be achieved with experience. You can write about something that interests you or inspires you.

How do you come up with the titles to your books?

Your Answer:  I name the title of my book from a key theme of the story or content. I ensure that the title describes the essence of my book.

What, in your opinion, are the most important elements of good writing?

Your Answer: Theme, character, plot, style and point of view are the important elements of writing. The writing should be clear, simple, and direct and should give a good message. This is the best way to communicate with people. I don’t believe in unnecessary fancy tricks like too much nagging.

What comes first, the plot or characters? How do you develop your plot and characters?

Your Answer: I think of the storyline first. Plot and characters should complement each other.

Are you on social media and can your readers interact with you?

Your Answer: I am active on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Please tell the reader something about your book. What is your message to those readers who have still not read the book. Why they should pick it up for reading?

Your Answer: ‘Forever’ is a child-cantered book. Divorce rates are increasing in India. Children are too small to understand the word divorce or separation. Parental separation directly and deeply affects the child’s life. I have focused on such parent and child relationship and ego problems in married couples.

And yes, the most important thing we would like to hear from you is what is your message to those new writers who have not yet started their journey of becoming an author? You have been their source of motivation, please convey your thoughts with them.

Your Answer: Practice makes a man perfect.
