Criticspace Journals: Welcome to Criticspace Journals, author. Congratulations on the release of your book. What responses are you getting from your readers? Please share your experience with this book.
Mahi Khan: Thank you for having me. I am glad that the book is being loved. It really feels surreal I never thought that I would be publishing my own book. It’s like a dream come true.
Criticspace Journals: What encourages you to become an Author?
Mahi Khan: My passion for writing. Literature always fascinated me and that’s the reason that despite having science my love for literature and writing never lessen.
Criticspace Journals: What are your favourite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.
Mahi Khan: I really enjoy writing. And I love reading classical literature.
Criticspace Journals: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!
Mahi Khan: Jane Austen is my favourite I love pride and prejudice it’s my forever favourite.
Criticspace Journals: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.
Mahi Khan: I like using different languages entrapments in my story Corazon which means heart is one of them. Initially the book was named heart me but then I changed it to mi Corazon .
Criticspace Journals: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.
Mahi Khan: I believe in winning people’s love. Quantity really do not attract me… it’s winning people’s heart and connecting with them that keeps me occupied.
Criticspace Journals: What is your current goal in writing a career? How do you see your future in writing?
Mahi Khan: I am focussing on my first book i.e. mi Corazon I want it to reach out to people and make its own place in their hearts.
Criticspace Journals: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.
Mahi Khan: I am currently working on my second book and hopefully you will get to read it soon.
Criticspace Journals: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?
Mahi Khan: Honestly, people need to actually follow their interests it will be a lot easier if we chase our passion rather than going for materialistic things. Things have become a lot easier the efforts are less and output is amazing. Yes! And I believe changes are good.
Criticspace Journals: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?
Mahi Khan: It requires a lot of patience to publish your own work. There’s a lot that keeps demotivating you and I feel if one overcomes that he /she is already successful.
Just follow what’s in your heart success is not always earning money satisfaction of your conscious is much greater and important.
