Hello author, on behalf of all the readers, we would like to discuss something about you and of course, your book as well. This conversation will help reader to know more about you and your debut book. Please give answers in brief.
Most welcome to Criticspace Journals, Author. We heartily congratulate you for being a published author. It’s really a great achievement. First thing, we would like to know about your basic info as a person, daily life, career so far and anything you would like to share about you with your readers.
Thirumala Reddy: First of all, thank you for this opportunity!
Well, I am pursuing Chartered Accountant (CA) and Cost Accountant (CMA); right now I am in my second year of article-ship i.e.., the training period. I always had my best interest in sports. Cricket was something I never missed to follow since childhood. I was an ex-state level Kabbadi, Volleyball and Throw ball player. After intermediate, I completely switched to studies turning off sports. Apart from studies and sports, Art is an infinitely minute part of my personality. Reading and writing were always part of my life. I like to get connected with the people, and being a writer makes me feel happy when my words connect to the reader’s heart.
That’s really great; please tell us something about your journey of becoming an author. When you actually started writing and how was the circumstance? Did any person or situation influenced you to write your debut book or was it your childhood hobby of writing?
Thirumala Reddy: Success is not final, failure is not the end. As they say, it’s the courage to continue that counts, when you take the risk you learn that there will be times when you succeed and there will times when you fail, and both are equally important. I always had this confidence in me that each time I fall, I rise up hard. One failure that made me apart, but the same failure paved a way to my journey as a writer. It took me a lot of courage to make my writings public, but I was ready to hear what people had to say about my book. Because, it’s the same people who teach you to fight, learn, grow, react, and understand. No one influenced me to write, in fact, no one knows until it was on boards. Writing has always been a part of me, where I put my imagination into words and then form it up into a story. I tell stories and I think of one meaning, readers take stories into their own life and they mean something else. My debut book was about a PUBG love story named “They Met on Battlegrounds,” as far the response is too overwhelming, and I am happy about that. I was a reader by day and writer by night.
Do you think someone could be a writer if they don’t feel emotions strongly?
Thirumala Reddy: Whatever you are putting into words should always be felt. Emotions are the slaves to our thoughts and we are slaves to our emotions. Reader’s are gonna connect when your book is emotionally written. However, I feel anyone could be a writer, different people, different personalities, different thoughts, we don’t know what they hide it’s only known when we read them. Emotions are something which we can’t bury within, that’s when writing helps the most. Write to yourself and then show it to the world how you made it. As a person, I don’t feel any individual can be emotionless, because emotions are something related to heart not mind. It’s just that one might express it, and the other might keep it confined to heart. Each one has a story to tell, because each individual’s life has a different story. Some stories inspire, some stories make you cry, some stories teach you to fight, some stories leave behind, and some stories make you laugh, whatnot. Everything is an emotion in this realistic world.
How do you come up with the titles to your books?
Thirumala Reddy: As I progress with my book, I consider the essence of my book. The title should give a hint of my story but not give everything away. At the same time, I will make sure to go ease with the title and keep it limited. As a reader and writer, I know the importance of the title of the book so I’ll always make sure to keep it easy to pronounce and remember at the same time.
What, in your opinion, are the most important elements of good writing?
Thirumala Reddy: The story you write should connect people irrespective of what genre you are writing. You need to observe, to critique, and to improve your own writing. The story should be believable mixed with all kinds of emotions. In the end, your writing should create a positive vibe in the reader’s life. Focus on plot, length, characters, dialogues, and style of narrating the story. The reader’s lookup for a unique theme, so give them a reason why they should read what you as a writer write, because they are investing two valuable things on your book i.e.., money and time.
What comes first, the plot or characters? How do you develop your plot and characters?
Thirumala Reddy: What’s strongest in your mind? Do you have characters in mind? Do you have events in mind? My current started mainly with events. As I started to get a better idea of the situation, I moved to replace the fill-in characters with more fleshed-out characters.
So start with what is strongest in your mind, but make sure to weave in the other early so it doesn’t appear so drop-in. Your character’s personality can affect a change of events and the events may make your character think more about what he/she needs to do.
Are you on social media and can your readers interact with you?
Thirumala Reddy: Yes I’m, who isn’t in this modern era. My readers do interact with me on Instagram and Facebook. I’d love to interact with readers because they are ones who help us to become big, better and best.

Please tell the reader something about your book. What is your message to those readers who have still not read the book. Why they should pick it up for reading?
Thirumala Reddy: Every person comes into our lives for a reason as everything happens for a reason. PUBG has become a huge sensation, with across 20 million users around the world. The book speaks about how a mute girl gets connected to a broken guy on Battlegrounds (PUBG). How they come out together, and how each presence brings the change in each other’s life. Life is bliss not today maybe, but someday our lives are going to be as we wished it was. The story that was told never before ever after. People who are interested in both the gaming community and reading are going to love this book. Anyone can go for the book, the book that speaks about game, depression, healing, trust, recovery, struggles, love, friendship, marriage, family.
And yes, the most important thing we would like to hear from you is what is your message to those new writers who have not yet started their journey of becoming an author? You have been their source of motivation, please convey your thoughts with them.
Thirumala Reddy: Everyone has their own story to tell different and unique from others. You don’t know what your writing is worth off until it’s in the market. Your book can change someone’s life who is reading it. Don’t hesitate to make your writings public, not all people may love it at the same time not all people may hate it. Whatever, is their response may be, their feedback will always help us to become better and better. Be confident about your story, it can turn into a miracle. Make sure your grammar is perfect, and easy to understand for any kind of reader. You don’t know where the road takes you until you travel by that particular road, so start travelling and keep travelling till you reach the edge. You’re not going to regret it, because you don’t know what it’s going to turn into until you try it. Don’t be sensitive towards negativity; in fact, it helps you. As a writer, we need to respect each individual opinion. It not only makes us a better story-teller but also a sensible human. Lastly, take reviews on your writing, discuss your story with close ones and ask for their opinion on the same. As you progress with your writing you will come out better so start with something, it leads you to end. All the best for your journey as a writer 😉
