Biographical Info: Ankita Sirker is a student of Psychology, currently pursuing her graduation in Asutosh College, under the University of Calcutta; and is currently working as a content writer at’ What’s The Hype?’. A writer by day and are adder by night, Ankita has a unconditional love for animals. Having a deeper understanding of human minds, she is immensely sociable. Die hard lover of chocolates, novel sand adventures, her aim is to experiment, explore and discover.

 

Criticspace: Achievement So far: ?

Ankita: My greatest achievement so far has been,getting out of my comfort zone and pursuing my dream no matter how strange, stupid, disturbing the situations had been.

Criticspace: Favorite Topics of Writing?

Ankita: I write when I ‘feel’ things. I don’t have any specific genre. Instead, I choose to immerse myself in the world of utmostvariety.

Criticspace: What describes you the best?

Ankita: Mystery Writer, Motivational Author, Romance Author, Content Writer

Criticspace: Tell us about your writing career: 80-100 words minimum?

Ankita: It all started when I was in the sixth grade. I came across this wonderful book by Enid Blyton – The House with Six Legs. That is exactly when I took to writing and perhaps, that is the first and the only best thing I discovered about myself at such a raw age. Soon, my short stories and poetries got published in various student newspapers and magazines. Currently, I’m working as a content writer at ‘What’s The Hype?’ and recently got my first book,’The Autumn Of Life’,published. It is, as though, I am living the dream I’ve always nurtured.

Criticspace: Tell us about your book, “The Autumn of Life”?

Ankita: This is a collection of short stories club bed with as wiftes sence of poetry that chief lyrevolvesa round the the me of life and its hurdles. In anattemptto contain a view thats creams,’We are in this together’, it channels detachment from the difficulties that accompanies a soul while growing up. The goal is to provide a lending hand to the ones whone edit, share and experience the intricacies of life together.

Criticspace:  What encouraged you to become an Author?

Ankita: I have always been an avid reader. Be it Enid Blyton, J.K Rowling or Khaled Hosseini – I have devoured almost every piece of their work till now. If you ask me who encouraged me to become an author, I can not really provide you with any specific answerbecause that wouldn’t suffice. However, if I am an author today, it sure is because of the three aforementioned people.

Criticspace:   What is your current goal in writing career?

Ankita: Career is too mainstream. Writing is my passion. I have been reading and writing eversince I was in the sixth grade. It makes me happy and content. So, in short, my current writing goal is to be happy and content with whatever little I achieve.
