Criticspace Journals: What encourages you to become an Author?

Zeeshan Sanuber: It all started 5 years back when I started penning down my thoughts in my personal blogs in the form of short stories. I started sharing them with my friends and it accelerated from there. A lot of them advice me to publish my stories in the form of a book. I think the thought germinated from there.

Criticspace Journals: What are your favorite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.

Zeeshan Sanuber: I love reading romance. I love reading contemporaries, biographies. A good writer is also a good reader so there’s no specific favorite writing topic as such. While studying literature I really liked reading short stories by Hemmingway, O henry, Katherine Mansfield and others so I believe short stories has always been my interest areas in literature.

Criticspace Journals: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?

Zeeshan Sanuber: Indian writing has evolved quite a lot in the 21st century. The modern way of writing is unconventional,  quirky, experimental. We have writers who have broken the stereotypes. I believe it has changed for good.

Criticspace Journals: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?
Zeeshan Sanuber: It wasn’t easy at all. Owing to the fact that we no longer get the opportunity of traditional publishing no matter how deserving your work is self publishing is the only way a writer can get a platform to put his work infront of the world but despite this possibility the whole process of publishing is taxing. Thanks to evincepub for been so supportive and helpful and also guiding me through the whole process. My message to the budding authors are to keep writing and believing in yourself.
